NOISY FUNEREAL CHAMBER POP FOR DOE-EYED DIARISTS
“Loud rococo rock…intricate, dreamy and ornate.” – Richmond Times-Dispatch
“Layer after layer of instruments and voices, both male and female. Lush melodies, lush arrangements and overall beautiful music.” – Floorshime Zipper Boots
adah is—depending on the season and the migratory patterns of certain predatory birds—one, or two, or seven, or sixteen people, who spend most of their time drinking and arguing over the relative merits of the early 4AD catalog instead of, you know, actually writing any music. They can often be found lying on their stomachs on any given kitchen floor, mumbling poor poetry to themselves and wondering if they could ever write a song as good as “Happy When it Rains” by the Jesus and Mary Chain or “Drive that Fast” by Kitchens of Distinction or “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers and even “Elenore” by the Turtles which, let’s face it, is an incredible song and fuck you if you don’t agree.
adah has a soft spot for stragglers, failures, and hope. Full-length coming in August.
