WORLDLY, JOYFUL AND QUIETLY EPIC POST-FOLK

“The Virginia DIY trio crafts charming acoustic folk music carried by pleasant boy-girl harmonies”Creative Loafing

“I love this band’s sound with its oblique lyrics and South American influences” – Belle Magazine

Laney and Jameson spent a year-and-a-half in South America, living hand-to-mouth and engaging in the sort of romantic adventures that are relegated to quixotic fantasies and hazy daydream notions. Then they came back and poured their hearts into the creation of a worldly folk that combines the chaotic insistence of punk rock with the vibrant abrasiveness of early American roots music, informed by Hispanic flourishes and a love for straight-up pop hooks. Seriously–do you know what ‘Lobo Marino’ means in Spanish? ‘PURE FUCKING AWESOME.’ (It also apparently means ‘sea wolf’, but that’s neither here nor there now, is it guv’nor?)
